Florida began the process of creating the regulations needed for a medical cannabis industry and safe access for patients. While the rules implemented are for the already approved CBD-only cannabis oil, regulators are laying the groundwork for rules concerning Florida’s full medical cannabis law. A ballot initiative legalizing cannabis for medical purposes is widely expect to pass in the November elections.
While not much has been nailed down yet, there is still time since providers cannot begin growing cannabis for CBD until licenses are issued by the state. The state must issue the licenses before the end of the year.
