Seven months after Colorado became the first state to sell cannabis for non-medical purposes, applicants in Washington state began receiving licenses to sell retail cannabis on Monday. The licenses allow adult-use cannabis dispensaries to begin operating today if they are ready.
The Associated Press reports that only one store in Seattle received a license. James Lathrop, owner of Cannabis City, told AP that he his store officially opens for sales at noon today.
